Wereshift

A moonlit 2D stealth-platformer

In Wereshift, you play as a werewolf who must survive as many nights as you can against a village hunting you down.

Change between three forms to blend in, to attack, or to flee from overwhelming dangers, as your health slowly drains overtime.

Wereshift is a simple stealth-action game delving into the folklore, superstitions, and fears of common folk during medieval times.

Change forms

Change between human, wolf, and werewolf when revealed by moonlight.

Each form has it’s own speed, strength, and use for certain situations.

Terrorize villagers

Sneak through the village to remain undetected and find your mark.

Protect yourself when detected, against villagers and guards hunting you down

Survive the night

Overtime your health depletes and must be replenished with fresh blood.

Conserve your energy, choose your moments, and last as long as you can!

About Wereshift

Wereshift was a side project I developed alongside a partner during both Ludum Dare 35 and Linux Game Jam 2018. I wanted to work in a simple art style with contrasting colors to simulate night and stealth mechanics. I used the opportunity to explore silhouettes a bit better, working with limited coloring and lighting, paralax-panning environments, and some of the game and enemy design. It was more of my more interesting projects that I’d love to revive someday. If you’d like to play, check out the link/button above!
